...and it's so far so good with my diet plans. I've been able to stick with the little changes I've made. The new stomach medication has enabled me to eat fruit again, so I've gone back to eating apples at lunch instead of pretzels. I've cut the amount of soda I drink from three cans per day down to two. (This is another area where the world's worst stomach gets in the way - no artificial sweeteners for me.) I've cut all my late-night snacking, although I will have some rice milk ice cream tomorrow evening. And I've gotten some whole wheat flour to mix with the standard white bread flour in my bread recipies.
Next, tackling the wonderful wide world of vegetables. Ventura County has plenty of farms and produce markets, but I have absolutely no idea what to do with a vegetable in the kitchen. This could get interesting...
